BOISE, Idaho — Those in the Magic Valley interested in learning how to fish can rejoice as the Idaho Department of Fish and Game (IDFG) announced the 'Take Me Fishing' trailer events in the Summer season.
According to the IDFG, those who attend the six new angler-friendly fishing events will not need a fishing license, and it is open to everyone.
"No matter the age or experience level, everyone is invited to come down to any or all of these events," IDFG stated in a news release.
Fish and Game provided the list of the event times and locations:
- Wednesday, June 12:
- Freedom Park Pond – Burley
- 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- Saturday, June 17:
- Dierkes Lake – Twin Falls
- 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- Saturday, June 22:
- Freedom Park Pond – Burley
- 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, June 26:
- Riley Pond – Hagerman
- 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- Saturday, June 29:
- Gavers Lagoon – Hayspur Hatchery
- 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- Saturday, July 17:
- Gavers Lagoon – Hayspur Hatchery
- 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
