IDFG: Mailed results of their raffled big game tags are incorrect

The Idaho Department and Fish and Game said the information they mailed about their raffled big game tags is incorrect. The correct information is online.

BOISE, Idaho — Hunters who applied for a big game tag in 2024, and received their confirmation in the mail, must note that the information is wrong, according to the Idaho Department of Fish and Game (IDFG).

IDFG said on Monday that hunters who applied, and those who haven't, have been sent incorrect information on blue postcards regarding 2024 Big Game hunting tags. But, the results sent to hunters over email is correct.

The department said the mistake was made after attempting to obtain a quote from a printing and distribution company for last year's drawing sample results. The company sent out the sample without IDFG's knowledge.

"Idaho Fish and Game officials recognize this error has caused confusion and disappointment to our hunters, and they deeply regret that this occurred," IDFG said in a news release.

The department said the raffle was done correctly and is urging hunters who applied for a 2024 Big Game tag to check their results online. Letters with the corrected information will also be sent to hunters sometime in July.
