More burgers to come: In-N-Out proposes drive-thru in Twin Falls

The proposed burger joint would take over the existing lot of Outback Steakhouse in Twin Falls, near the Perrine Memorial Bridge.

TWIN FALLS, Idaho — The Treasure Valley came out in droves for the opening of Idaho's first In-N-Out Burger in Meridian. It opened just six months ago. Now, In-N-Out Burger has its eyes on a new opportunity in the Gem State: Twin Falls.

In documents received in a public records request, KTVB learned that In-N-Out Burger filed a special use permit application last month with the city of Twin Falls. Within the documents was information pertaining to the proposed build.

The burger joint would take over the existing lot of Outback Steakhouse in Twin Falls, near the Perrine Memorial Bridge.

The proposed restaurant will be roughly 3,887 square feet with indoor seating for up to 84 customers. Outdoor seating for up to 28 customers will also be included in the plan. The site is roughly an acre, but improvements will be made to include a larger dumpster site and an adequate drive-thru.

The construction would include building 24 additional parking spaces. In-N-Out also plans on using an adjoining land parcel to build more parking, with a total of 62 spaces for the business.

They will have a drive-thru, with an escape lane. The proposed drive-thru would be handled a projected 27 vehicles in total.

In the news release that was included in the permit application, In-N-Out Burger reiterates that it cooks all burgers and fries to order, nothing is pre-cooked. This Twin Falls location would have three grills, for efficiency.

In-N-Out plans on operating seven days a week, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

The permit application also includes information about the Outback Steakhouse - it will be relocating. It's unclear where it will move to.
