CALDWELL, Idaho — There is still about one month until the start of winter, but there are signs that the season is not far off.
In Caldwell, the Indian Creek Plaza Ice Skating Ribbon and Rink opened at noon today.
Public skating will be available through Feb. 29, 2020.
In case you were wondering about the weather. Starting Thursday morning, overnight lows in Caldwell will be below freezing (32 degrees).
Hours of operation for the ice rink are Monday – Thursday, 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday – Sunday, 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Those hours are subject to change and tickets sales may stop at any time due to weather or the ribbon reaching capacity (180 skaters). Ticket sales stop 1/2 hour before closing.

Here are skate pass and skate rental prices:
- $4 discount if you bring your own skates.
- $1 Senior, military, and group discount (10+ skaters).
- $4 for 3 years old and under
- $8.50 for 12 years old and under
- $10 for 13 years old and up
- There is no cost for helmets.
- Season passes are available.
There is lots of free parking in downtown Caldwell near Indian Creek Plaza.
