JEROME, Idaho — A Jerome man died after they were involved in a five-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Jerome County.
Idaho State Police reported the crash happened around 1:38 p.m. when a 36-year-old man from Boise was driving eastbound on Highway 25 in a white 2024 Toyota Rav 4 and failed to stop at a stop sign. He crashed into four other vehicles at the intersection of US93 and Highway 25.
Police said the driver of a 2008 black Honda Civic, a 48-year-old man from Jerome, died at the scene.
The driver of the Toyota Rav 4, the Boise man, was arrested and taken to the Jerome County Jail on probable cause of felony vehicular manslaughter, ISP stated.
Police listed the other three drivers involved in the crash.
- A 2006 white Ford F450 driven by a 45-year-old male from Buhl, Idaho.
- A 2022 silver Subaru Forester driven by a 75-year-old female from Jerome, Idaho.
- A 2022 white GMC Sierra driven by a 36-year-old female from Twin Falls, Idaho.
ISP said the other drivers were wearing their seatbelts. It is unknown if they were injured in the crash.
Authorities said the entire intersection was blocked for five hours to allow first responders to attend to those involved.
Friday's crash is currently under investigation by Idaho State Police.
