ISP: 37-year-old man dies in fatal crash in Hagerman

The Idaho State Police said on Monday morning, a 37-year-old man failed to yield at an intersection and was hit by a semi-truck.

HAGERMAN, Idaho — A man is dead after he was in a two-vehicle crash with a semi-truck in Twin Falls County early Monday morning.

Idaho State Police (ISP) said a 37-year-old Jerome man was driving a 2003 GMC northbound on East 5400 Road North and failed to yield at the intersection of Highway 30. The driver was struck around 10:05 a.m. by a 1999 Peterbilt semi-truck driven by a 68-year-old man from Gooding.

Police said the Jerome man died at the scene.

ISP said the Gooding man was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and wasn't taken to the hospital. 

The Jerome man has not been identified. ISP, Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office, Twin Falls County Coroner and Hagerman Fire were on the scene, police said.
