Jackson's employees build bikes at annual leadership summit at ExtraMile Arena

Around 400 Jackson's employees are gathering at the summit to improve their leadership skills while also building bikes to contribute to and help the community.

BOISE, Idaho — The annual Jacksons leadership summit is underway at ExtraMile Arena, with employees building bikes for local nonprofit organizations.

Around 400 Jacksons employees are gathering at the summit to improve their leadership skills while also building bikes to contribute to and help the community.

"It's important to us to stay connected to the communities our customers live and work in," Cory Jackson, President of Jacksons Food Stores, said.

Jacksons employees from across seven different states have gathered in Boise with the goal of completing 50 bikes for the Children's Alliance and NeighborWorks Boise. 

Representatives from both organizations will be in attendance to collect the bikes. Other key attendees include: 

  • Cory Jackson, President of Jacksons Food Stores
  • Jill Linville, Vice President of Operations
  • Shane Wright, Senior Vice President, People & Technologies
  • Todd Michael, Vice President, Merchandising and Procurement 
  • Mark Van Buskirk, Vice President, Marketing & Merchandising

Jacksons is a nationally recognized chain of convenience stores, with over 300 locations around the U.S. It was founded in 1975 as a single service station; the family-owned company now has locations in Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, California and Utah.
