KIDO’s Kevin Miller holds annual turkey drive for Boise Rescue Mission

Miller is hanging out at the Walmart in Nampa all this week, broadcasting live and collecting donations.

NAMPA, Idaho — KIDO radio and KTSY kicked off its annual Miller's Mission Turkey Drive to help provide the hungry and homeless in our community with a warm dinner for the holidays.

Boise Rescue Mission Ministries is looking to collect 3,000 turkeys.

If you'd like to help, you can head to any Walmart store in the Treasure Valley and purchase a $15 turkey voucher at the cash register.

And for the next week, Kevin Miller from KIDO will be camping out in front of the Walmart store at Garrity Boulevard and Franklin Road in Nampa, broadcasting live in the mornings and accepting donations. Donations can be dropped off from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

"The message that we're trying to convey is it's better to give a turkey, than be a turkey,” said Miller. “We need to feed 1,100 to 1,200 Treasure Valley families a day, that really your donation helps the Boise Rescue Mission, that's what we're asking for."

Miller says anything that you can contribute makes a difference.
