BOISE -- Friday marked a very sad 25th anniversary for the KTVB family.
On Sept. 21, 1987, KTVB reporter Mary Shore and photographer Dan Sullivan were killed on their way back from a story in Blaine County when their plane crashed shortly after taking off from the Hailey Airport.
Mary, Dan and pilot, Lynn Hoppe, were all killed. At the time of the crash, Mary was 29 years old and Dan was 25.
KTVB's annual employee award is named in honor of Mary Shore and Dan Sullivan, two people we knew as dedicated to their work and community. They were responsible, resourceful and reliable journalists and friends. Great people who continue to inspire us today.
