Life-size dinosaurs take over Expo Idaho this weekend

Jurassic Quest features the nation's largest and most realistic dinosaurs.

BOISE, Idaho — Dinosaurs are about to come back to life and take over Boise.

Friday through Sunday, the nation's largest and most realistic dinosaurs will be at Expo Idaho for this year's Jurassic Quest.

KTVB got a sneak peek at the life-size dinosaurs Thursday before they come to life.

From the very small, to the gigantic, sky-scraping dinosaurs -- this year kids will get to see over 80 true-to-life size dinosaurs inside Expo Idaho.

They roar, they move, and some even walk around.

Jurassic Quest says they created each dinosaur based on scientific information from paleontologists to make these dinosaurs as authentic as possible.

“They're life-size, you are looking at yourself versus this 15- to 20-foot tall dinosaur and just putting yourself in the perspective if this thing was still real, it's pretty incredible,” said crewman Kristen Pence.

In addition to seeing the life-like dinosaurs, there will be bounce houses, a venue where you can dig up fossils, and kids and adults will also get to meet and play with baby dinosaurs.

And you can ride on the back of the most fearsome dinosaur of them all - a Tyrannosaurus rex.

Tickets are still available. They start at $22.
