Ada County homeowners to have reduced property tax bills

The Ada County Treasurer's Office will send out 2023 property tax bills later this month.

ADA COUNTY, Idaho — According to the Ada County Treasurer's Office, homeowners in the county will see credits and savings on their 2023 property tax bills. The bills will be sent out by Nov. 27.

"This is 100% thanks to the Idaho Legislature who chose to help taxpayers across the state lower their property tax bill," said Ada County Board Chairman Rod Beck.

Most of the savings apply to owner-occupied homes and some people could be saving several hundred dollars.

"Property owners in Ada County and around the state asked the legislature to provide relief from rising property taxes at a time when inflation keeps cutting into everyone's savings and discretionary spending," said Ada County Commissioner Tom Dayley. "We congratulate the legislature on this tax relief and look forward to collaborating with lawmakers to keep taxes low while providing essential services for everyone in Ada County."

The office stated that exact savings amounts will be listed on each bill. For more information people can go to adacounty.id.gov.
