BOISE, Idaho — University of Idaho Boise is holding a Dual Credit Information night on Tuesday, Dec. 12 in the Legacy Pointe room at the Idaho Water Center in downtown Boise.
The free event is open to the public and is an opportunity for high school students and their families to learn more about dual credit opportunities in Boise, how to register for classes, and financial aid education, a news release stated.
"Dual credit classes are a great way to get a jump start on your college degree while still in high school," Casie Moreland, U of I's director of dual credit said. "This is a great opportunity for students to explore college pathways while working toward high school and college graduation."
High school students who attend will have a chance to win a $1,000 Future Vandal Award scholarship, which is a one-time, non-renewable scholarship. According to the release, it will be given away at the event to a high school senior or transfer student seeking to enroll at University of Idaho for Fall 2023, 2025 or 2026 in the College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences.
