ELMORE COUNTY, Idaho — A man was taken to the hospital after he crossed the median on I-84 and crashed his car head-on into a Fish and Game Conservation Officer who was towing a boat on Saturday, Jan. 6 around 6:30 p.m.
According to the Idaho State Police (ISP), a 19-year-old man was driving a 2007 Saturn Aura going east on I-84 when he crossed the center and hit the officer, who was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado and towing a boat headed west. The crash happened west of Mountain Home, next to milepost 77.
The 19-year-old was taken to the hospital, no word on his condition, and the officer was unharmed. Both were wearing seatbelts.
Traffic was blocked for more than four hours while crews cleared the accident and ISP is investigating the crash.
