BOISE, Idaho — The parking lot next to the playground at Julia Davis Park is being replaced starting on Feb 12, construction is expected to be finished in June later this year. The footbridge next to the Discovery Center will be closed during the construction and people will have to detour on the sidewalk along 3rd Street.
The City of Boise said the lot is being replaced because of its age and condition. The playground and the Boise Pavilion will stay open.
"Fencing is going up today, and along with new asphalt the project will result in improved stormwater drainage features and sidewalk accessibility," a news release stated.
