BOISE, Idaho — The giving season is right around the corner and the Los Carnales/La Familia Motorcycle Club in partnership with the Iron Warriors Motorcycle Club are planning their Fifth Annual Toy Drive. Every year the clubs collect toys and give them to children at St Luke's.
"Both motorcycle clubs consist of retired and active law enforcement, as well as former military members. Many of us served our communities throughout the United States, and now in retirement, continue that service. For both clubs, this is the largest charitable event that we sponsor. This will be the fifth year of sponsorship; every year has grown, with over 1250 toys being donated to the hospital last year," a news release stated.
People can drop off toys at over eighteen locations around the Treasure Valley. The collection boxes go out on the last week of October and get picked up the week of Dec. 11.
"We certainly understand that the economy is difficult right now, but we hope that the community will find within their hearts to donate toys to this worthwhile charity event, as well as support those businesses that support our charitable event. Together, we can bring smiles to chronically ill children, and peace to the hearts of their families," the release stated.
