Truck rolls off Highway 21 near Lucky Peak

Boise Fire said the truck was 150 feet down a hillside. Two people were taken to the hospital.

BOISE, Idaho — A pickup truck rolled 150 feet down the embankment on Highway 21 near Lucky Peak Reservoir, two people were taken to the hospital with significant injuries. According to the Boise Fire Department (BFD), the rollover happened at milepost 13 on Saturday, Feb. 3 around 5:30 p.m. 

The department said when they arrived, they found one person near the highway and found the truck and another person about 150 feet down the embankment. They were able to safely immobilize and raise the person in a basket up the hill. Both people had significant injuries and were taken to the hospital via ambulance.

An eyewitness told KTVB they saw the accident and sent in a photo of the truck at the bottom of the embankment.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
