Lots to do at Hyde Park Street Fair

The fair is being held this weekend in Camel's Back Park.
The Hyde Park Street Fair runs Friday through Sunday.

BOISE -- Dozens are preparing for what's being called a big block party in the North End.

The 36th annual Hyde Park Street Fair kicked off at 4 p.m. Friday.

The fair is held in Camel's Back Park with plenty of vendor booths, activities for the kids, live music and food. The event supports the North End Neighborhood Association.

"'It's like a big family reunion," said fair coordinator Jim Teeter. "We're very family based. We have a big kids' area, so we have things for kids. We have street performers. I can't say that everybody wouldn't find something they want here."

The fair runs until 9:45 p.m.

If you can't make it out tonight, the fair starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

If you are looking for a place to park, you can park at the First Baptist Church on 13th Street. A shuttle will take you to the event.
