'Love, Boise' concert benefits Boise stabbing victims

Boise Rock School put on the event Thursday night to help the refugee families at the Wylie Street Station Apartments.

BOISE- A concert took place Thursday night to help the families impacted by the violence that occurred nearly a month ago in Boise. Nine refugees were stabbed at the Wylie Apartment Complex. One little girl died from her injuries.

There have been several efforts to help the refugee families at the Wylie Street Station Apartments. The concert called "Love, Boise" is the latest effort.

Boise Rock School put on the event at the Linen Building, and students were the first to hit the stage. Until 10 p.m., there were other musicians jammin' for this great cause.

There was also a silent auction online to support the effort.

100 percent of the profits from the concert will be given to the International Rescue Committee. While they are not the only organization supporting the Wylie residents, they have taken the lead on paying for necessary services like medical bills, housing, and child care to families whose injuries have made child care particularly challenging.
