Lumber that will be used to build St. Jude's Dream Home can be signed for a small donation

The signing event will happen at the Village at Meridian on Nov. 22 - Nov. 24 from noon to 7 p.m.

MERIDIAN, Idaho — Supporters of children's cancer research will be able to sign a 2x4 this weekend that will go in the St. Jude's Dream Home.

The children's research hospital will be asking for a $5 donation to sign one of the pieces of lumber that Berkeley Building Company will be using in the construction of the home.

The signing event will happen at the Village at Meridian from Nov. 22 through Nov. 24 from noon to 7 p.m.

This year's giveaway home will be a single level 2,500 square-foot home built in a Meridian neighborhood.

Tickets for the St. Jude Dream Home giveaway are expected to go on sale April 17 for $100 each and the giveaway is scheduled for May 31.

Last year, tickets sold out in less than a week and raised over $1 million for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
