OAKLEY, Idaho — The Mackey Fire has been mapped at 423 acres by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). The department said they received a call about the fire on June 22, all forward movement of the fire has been stopped.
Multiple crews and equipment worked to stop the spread.
"Please remember that fire season is upon the west and be vigilant when recreating and working with power tools outdoors. Clear vegetation prior to work, have a shovel and water readily available," BLM stated.
