PAYETTE COUNTY, Idaho — A 30-year-old man from Nampa has died after losing control of his car. Police said he was driving on State Highway 55, when he crashed into a power line.
According to the Idaho State Police (ISP), the crash happened east of Fruitland close to milepost six on Friday, Aug. 23 around 4:20 p.m. The man was driving a Toyota Corolla headed west when he drove off the highway, went onto the left shoulder and hit the powerline.
Police said the man was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene. The Payette County Sheriff's Office was also on the scene providing medical care and assistance. ISP is investigating.
