Man dies in hospital after scooter crash

Boise Police say the man was riding a Vespa-style scooter and it appears he lost control and crashed.

BOISE, Idaho — A man died after crashing a Vespa-style scooter near S Federal Way and S Findley Ave., he was taken to the hospital but later died from his injuries. According to the Boise Police Department (BPD), no other people or drivers were involved.

Police said the crash happened July 14 around 2 a.m.

"BPD's Crash Reconstruction Team responded to investigate the crash. A preliminary investigation showed that the motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Federal Way when the driver lost control and crashed." BPD stated.

 The Ada County Coroner's Office will identify the victim after notifying next of kin.
