Police said the man crashed into a tree and was "ejected from the motorcycle and into the roadway."

BOISE, Idaho — A man has died after a motorcycle crash in Boise. According to the Boise Police Department (BPD), the crash happened May 10 around 7p.m., at the intersection of W. Boise Ave. and W. Beacon St.

BPD said when they arrived, they provided life-saving care and he was transported to the hospital where he later died.

"Evidence indicates the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed on Beacon St. towards Boise Ave. when he lost control of the motorcycle, drove onto the sidewalk, and crashed into a large tree. The rider was ejected from the motorcycle and into the roadway," a news release stated.

Crews cleared the scene, and the investigation is ongoing. BPD will release the man's name once next of kin has been notified.
