BOISE, Idaho — A Boise man who was arrested in Sept. for soliciting sex from a teen online is now being charged with sexual battery and transfer of HIV, as said in a news release from the Ada County Sheriff's Office.
The man, Alexander M. Louie, was arrested during an internet sting operation on Sept. 19 and is now being charged with multiple felonies. He was charged with having illegal sexual contact with a 16 -year-old earlier this year, and is now facing felony counts of transferring body fluids containing the HIV virus, said the news release.
According to the news release, Louie was arrested on Sept. 19, after Louie had arranged to meet a 15-year-old boy for sex. Louie and the boy had exchanged messages using an app and planned to meet. When Louie went to the meeting spot near a local high school, deputies were waiting for him.
Louie has been in police custody since September. Police pursued an enticement investigation, where detectives found evidence of other victims, including a 16-year-old boy who had illegal sexual contact with Louie three times in September of 2023. Detectives found evidence Louie met that victim through internet messaging apps, said the news release.
According to police, Louie stopped taking his HIV medication on purpose before the September meeting with the victim.
Detectives said they suspect there could be more victims and would like to talk to them if possible.
