Nampa man shot, killed following argument, police say

Nampa Police said a 53-year-old man was shot and he died at the scene. Everyone involved in the incident was identified, and police say it was an isolated incident.

BOISE, Idaho — A man is dead after he was shot following an argument in Nampa Sunday night.

According to the Nampa Police Department (NPD), on Sept. 29, around 5:10 p.m., dispatch got a call about a shooting near East Locust Lane and South Azure. When officers arrived, they found a 53-year-old man who was shot.

NPD said officers and EMS attempted life-saving measures, but the man died at the scene.

According to police, the shooting occurred after the man was in an argument, and it was an isolated event. Police said everyone who was involved in the shooting has been identified. 

The Nampa Police Department's Crime Division and the Canyon County Prosecutor's Office are investigating the shooting for "potential charges."
