TAMARACK, Idaho — Tamarack Resort officially signed a 20-year lease with Idaho Parks and Recreation Department for the construction of The Marina at Tamarack Resort, pending an environmental analysis from the Bureau of Reclamation, according to a news release from Tamarack.
The marina will boast 200 boat slips, on-water fuel access, boat mooring facilities, as well as a rental and retail facility. In addition to an expanded parking for guests, the new marina will feature a rental fleet of motorized and non-motorized watercraft, the news release stated.
Tamarack representatives stated construction will begin as soon as the Bureau of Reclamation has completed their environmental analysis, which the resort anticipates will be in early 2024.
"We appreciate the hard work, and thoughtful process of the Bureau of Reclamation and the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation to help us bring enhanced facilities and recreation offerings to Lake Cascade," Tamarack President Scott Turlington said. "As America's only ski, golf and lake resort, Tamarack is proud to be developing this world-class marina for boaters and water sports enthusiasts."
Tamarack Resort intends to project completion by summer 2024, with an opening day of the marina on Memorial Day. At the time of initial opening, the resort stated it will have an availability of 70 boat slips, along with the other facilities. The marina will be public, with seasonal slips available form Memorial Day to Oct. 1 every year.
