Maverik to close 3, open 4 Boise stores

The Maverik store at the intersection of Franklin and Maple Grove roads is one of three Boise locations closing on Saturday, March 5.

BOISE - Maverik, Inc. announced on Thursday that the company will close three of its Boise locations this weekend, but will soon open up four new stores in the city.

The three stores closing on Saturday, March 5 are:

  • Store #4 - 5200 Chinden Boulevard
  • Store #175 - 1909 West Boise Avenue
  • Store #206 - 9030 West Franklin Road

Maverik said it is opening 26 new stores across the Intermountain West and the three Boise closures were a result of the rapid growth.

“While the decision to close these three stores was difficult, it was necessary for our continued growth in the Boise community,” said Aaron Simpson, vice president of Maverik, in a statement. “Maverik is committed to treating all team members affected by these closures with respect and remaining entirely open about the process taking place."

Employees at the three closed stores are being provided other employment opportunities within the company, officials said.

Maverik has not yet announced when or where the four new Boise stores will open.
