Mayor Bieter presents Key to the City to Dee Sarton

The presentation was made live Wednesday during Dee's final broadcast on KTVB.

BOISE, Idaho — Boise Mayor Dave Bieter has awarded long-time KTVB news anchor Dee Sarton the Key to the City, the highest honor he can bestow upon a resident.

He made the presentation live from the Boise Depot during KTVB's 6 p.m. newscast on Wednesday, which capped the station's celebration of Dee's 40 years in television in Boise. It was her final KTVB broadcast.

Bieter also presented Dee with a proclamation signed by 12 Treasure Valley mayors declaring June 5 as “Dee Sarton Day.”
