MERIDIAN, Idaho — Investigators with the Meridian Fire Department are working to determine the cause of a structure fire that broke out at a lumber mill Wednesday morning.
Meridian Fire said crews responded to the fire at 240 W. Taylor Avenue around 10 a.m. Wednesday, and were able to put the fire out by 10:35 a.m. The structure fire was contained without any reported injuries.
Three fire engines and two ladder trucks were on scene of the lumber mill fire. Officials in a news release said crews "worked quickly" to contain the fire within 35 minutes of responding.
“Fortunately, with the quick actions of firefighters, we did not have any secondary fires,” said Jordan Reese, chief of operations with the Meridian Fire Department. "Crews did outstanding work keeping the fire from spreading."
The Meridian Fire Department said it plans to release more information when available. The cause of Wednesday's fire at the lumber mill remains under investigation.
