EMMETT, Idaho — A 16-year-old missing since April 23 has been located and "returned home safely," according to the Emmett Police Department and Gem County Sheriff's Office.
Sgt. Brent Leatherman told KTVB the Emmett teenager was found in Ada County on Thursday, May 2. Officials on social media said she has suicidal tendencies and was without her medication, adding she could be travelling to Arizona.
The Gem County Sheriff's Office also confirmed the teen has been found and thanked the public for their assistance in locating her.
