ADA COUNTY, Idaho — A 23-year-old man has died after being hit by a car while he was crossing Interstate 84. According to Idaho State Police (ISP) the incident happened on Sept. 7 around 2:50 a.m. at milepost 46 in Ada County.
ISP said the man was crossing the westbound lanes when a 30-year-old man, also from Nampa, hit him with his grey 2013 Nissan Altima. The pedestrian died at the scene.
The pedestrian has been identified by Ada County Coroner's Office as Juan Martinez Rojas, from Caldwell.
Traffic was blocked for about four hours while crews cleared the road. ISP is investigating.
