Nampa man dies after crash in Canyon County

Police said the two vehicle crash happened on Aug 21. The 65-year-old man died a week later at the hospital from his injuries

CANYON COUNTY, Idaho — A Nampa man has died from injuries he sustained in a crash that happened in Canyon County. According to the Idaho State Police (ISP), the two-vehicle crash happened at 15324 Riverside Rd., on Wednesday, Aug. 21 around 1:00 p.m. 

Police said the 65-year-old man from Nampa, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado pickup headed north when the truck drifted onto the right shoulder. The driver overcorrected and hit a 53-year-old man from Payette driving a 2009 Peterbilt sanitation truck headed south. 

The Nampa man was taken to the hospital via air ambulance but died from his injuries in the hospital on Aug. 31.

The other driver was not injured, and ISP is investigating the crash.
