BOISE, Idaho — In an update on Facebook on late Wednesday night, Nampa Police Department (NPD) found Payton safe and returned her home. NPD thanked the community for their assistance, and showing care during this time.
Originally, NPD reported that a 12-year-old from Nampa was missing and endangered, and last seen on Friday, March 15. As of Wednesday, March 20, she was located and united with her family.
NPD asked the public for help seeking the teen, even asking for local security footage from residents if possible. It's unclear if that method was how they located the teen.
