NAMPA, Idaho — The Nampa Police Department (NPD) on Wednesday said it has identified a man who is suspected of inappropriately touching two teens.
"Because of your help, he has been identified and we’ve been in contact with him," the office stated.
As previously reported, a spokesperson with NPD told KTVB the incident happened earlier in June at a convenience store on Garrity Boulevard. When the suspect was leaving the store, he approached two teen girls in the parking lot and "tried to convince them to drink alcohol, touched them inappropriately, and tried to get them to leave with him in the car."
The teens refused and left the area, police said. The teens told their parents about what happened, and they contacted police.
NPD stated the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
