Nampa woman dies after crashing into parked semi-truck

Idaho State Police said the 42-year-old, driving a Ford Focus, died at the scene.

CALDWELL, Idaho — A 42-year-old woman from Nampa has died after crashing into a semi-truck in Caldwell. The Idaho State Police (ISP) said the crash happened Friday, Oct. 11 around 11 a.m. on Canal St., and Cleveland Blvd.

ISP said the woman was driving a 2011 Ford Focus headed west on Cleveland Blvd., when she veered and hit a 2023 Freightliner semi-truck pulling a 2013 semi-trailer that was parked.

The woman, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene from her injuries. The driver of the semi, a 62-year-old man from Nampa, was not injured. 

The crash is being investigated by the ISP.
