Power restored after major outage in Eagle, Star

It's unclear what sparked the series of outages, all of which began at roughly 5:45 a.m.

EAGLE, Idaho — The power is back on after a major outage that cut power in Eagle and Star Friday morning. 

Nearly 15,000 people were affected by the outages, which began at about 5:45 a.m.

As of 6:15 a.m., a total of 6,561 customers in Star were affected by the outage, while 8,144 Eagle customers were without power. The lights were back on for all customers by about 8 a.m.

The cause of the outages are unknown.

Drivers should always treat non-functioning traffic lights as a four-way stop.
