New cell phone waiting area open at Boise Airport

The lot is meant to clear congestion when people are picking someone up at the airport.

BOISE, Idaho — Picking someone up at the airport is truly an act of love... the lines, the scheduling, the waiting, and the possibility that you might have to circle the airport a number of times waiting for their arrival.

The Boise Airport has come up with a unique situation to make the experience a little easier. There is a new cell phone waiting area adjacent to the Boise Airport Economy/Shuttle Lot. It has its own entrance at 2950 S. Curtis Road.

It's a lot, that is about 5 minutes from the terminal. So, instead of waiting at the pick-up area, people can wait for the person to text them of their arrival, and the drive should equal the amount of time it takes for a traveler to make it out of the airport.
