Boise River float services to end for season on September 2

Equipment rentals and shuttle bus services will conclude their seasonal operations on Monday, Sept. 2.

BOISE, Idaho — As the float season begins to drift away, Float the Boise is reminding residents that there is still time to take advantage of floating services.

With some operations closing weekdays leading up to the end of the season, there are some important dates to keep in mind if you plan on hitting the water.

Equipment rentals and shuttle bus services will be closed Monday through Thursday the last two weeks of float season, resulting no services Aug. 19-22 and again on Aug. 26-29.

The official end of the season for these services will be Sept. 2.

There will still be services offered on the weekends from now, until Sept. 2. Parking for the weekends is $7 at Barber Park, and free on weekdays.

Float the Boise estimates that roughly 130,000 people have floated the Boise River this summer so far, with roughly 40,000 of those folks using the shuttle bus.
