BOISE, Idaho — The Ada County Coroner's Office released the name of a man who died after being hit by a car Wednesday evening on westbound Interstate 84 in Meridian.
Randell Crocker, 61, from Meridian, tried to cross the traffic lanes near Exit 44 and was hit by multiple vehicles, according to the coroner. Crocker was pronounced dead at the scene, Idaho State Police (ISP) reported.
Police said he was hit by a Toyota Highlander, driven by a 61-year-old woman from Marsing. The incident occurred around 7:41 p.m. Wednesday.
I-84 was completely blocked for roughly five hours following the crash while police investigated and cleared the scene.
Police are still investigating the incident.
