MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho — Idaho State Police (ISP) are investigating a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian in Mountain Home. The 75-year-old pedestrian died.
Police said around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, an 85-year old woman from Grand View was driving eastbound on American Legion Boulevard in a Subaru Forester when she struck a 75-year-old woman from Mountain Home in the crosswalk.
The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was taken to an area hospital by air ambulance. She succumbed to her injuries at the hospital, according to ISP.
Police said the driver of the Subaru Forester was not injured in the crash.
Traffic was blocked for roughly three and a half hours on American Legion Boulevard following the crash Tuesday, allowing emergency crews to clear the scene.
The crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police. The identity of the pedestrian may be released, pending coroner identification.
