BOISE — A popular section of the Boise Greenbelt is finally back open.
Ada County reopened the Penitentiary Canal Pathway segment of the Greenbelt today.
It was closed for improvements, but damage done to it during construction pushed back the reopening.
However, crews are still working on the shoulder so officials still ask to use caution as you walk or bike along the path.
They say there will be a formal reopening ceremony in the next week.
But in the meantime, officials are welcoming everyone to enjoy the improved section of the Greenbelt.
