BOISE -- Hundreds showed up to Boise's Julia Davis Park for the Great Strides Walk to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation on Saturday.
Along with a 5k walk along the Greenbelt, there were also children's activities and food, among other things.
Today's walk is one of the biggest fundraisers for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Most of the money donated goes to fund research.
Dixie Durham from the St. Luke's Cystic Fibrosis team said, "We've got a lot of amazing sponsors. A lot of people raised a lot of money. I don't know how much money, yet. But, it's usually a lot, because people around here are incredibly generous."
Walks like the one on Saturday are happening throughout the nation this summer.
