IDAHO, USA — The U.S. Forest Service- Sawtooth National Forest announced that Point Campground at Redfish Lake is closed for the rest of the 2024 season, including the day-use area.
"While there are no hazards in the campground itself, falling, fire-weakened trees and rolling rocks from nearby slopes pose too much of a safety hazard for visitors to reopen the sites," stated social media.
The service said that refunds will be given automatically by 6 to 8 weeks of the cancelation date.
"We apologize for the inconvenience and thank visitors for their understanding of the situation," the Forest service stated.
