NAMPA, Idaho — Hunter Kneppe, 28, of Boise was arrested Thursday in connection to the deadly stabbing of 29-year-old Abel Saenz of Caldwell.
The Nampa Police Department said that at 3:38 a.m. Wednesday, dispatch received a 911 call saying a man was lying in an alley in the 1200 block of 3rd Avenue North. Upon arrival, first responders found a man dead with "what appeared to be stab wounds."
Kneppe was booked into the Canyon County Jail and is facing charges of first-degree murder, robbery, destruction of evidence, criminal gang enhancement, deadly weapon enhancement and providing false information to a law enforcement officer.
"Gang and drug activity will be met with zero tolerance in Nampa," Police Chief Joe Huff said. "Mr. Kneppe came to Nampa with the intention to support criminal activity and he followed through with this brutal murder."
"Now, because of great teamwork between members of our agency, the Caldwell Police Department, Garden City PD, Boise PD, Probation & Parole, he is sitting in jail facing 1st degree murder charges, along with a list of other charges and enhancements," Huff said.
