Police: Man and dog missing near Donnelly since Friday

The Valley County Sheriff's Office is searching for Brian Ekman after he went missing last week.

VALLEY COUNTY, Idaho — The Valley County Sheriff's Office is now searching for a missing man his dog after they went riding a 2018 Polaris General in the Wagon Wheel area near Donnelly.

Officials say Brian Ekman and his 14-year-old yellow lab, Cheech, left to go on a ride at about 4 p.m. Friday, but have not been seen since.

Ekman is known to ride in the areas of Gold Fork, Paddy Flat, and West Mountain areas in Valley County, according to the sheriff's office. The Polaris that Ekman was driving had a rack and red gas can attached to it.

The dog can be identified by the tumors on its body.

The Valley County Sheriff's Office urges people that may know about Ekman and Cheech's whereabouts call the Valley County Communication Center at (208) 382-5160.
