Boise man who was missing is found dead, identified by coroner

The Boise Police Department said in a Facebook post that Jason Van Winkle was found dead.

BOISE, Idaho — The Boise Police Department (BPD) have updated the public to the whereabouts of Jason Van Winkle, a man who was missing since Saturday, June 15. 

Jason Van Winkle, 45, was found dead and was identified by the Ada County Coroner's Office.

According to Boise Police, at roughly 7 p.m. on June 17, the coroner's office was dispatched to a field near the intersection of Orchard Street and Harvard Street in Boise. Van Winkle was pronounced dead at the scene after a single motorcycle collision.

An investigation is pending and being conducted by Boise Police Department.
