BOISE, Idaho — A married Caldwell couple has been identified as the people who died in a plane crash from Oregon en route to Idaho on Sunday.
KTVB confirmed that the names of the couple were David and Venita Hagerty. He was 69-years-old and she was 63-years-old.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said on social media on Monday, March 11, that the Caldwell couple were the "two souls on board the aircraft."
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office on social media said the plane left Aurora and crashed around 7:40 p.m. Sunday, 5.5 miles southeast of Madras in Jefferson County. Officials said, "Due to the extent of the crash, there were no survivors."
Information from the Federal Aviation Administration's preliminary crash report shows that unknown circumstances caused the Piper PA32 aircraft to crash. Data initially reported that only one person was aboard.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the FAA and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
