STAR, Idaho — The Star Police Department is reporting that several people woke up to flat tires on Friday, Dec. 29, after what they believe was a prank. The department said at least three people called after finding flats on their vehicles.
"It appears delinquents walking through the neighborhood between Floating Feather, Star, and Can Ada roads overnight decided to put pebbles in the valve stems of cars and trucks and deflate the tires," Star Police said on social media.
Police on Friday warned that the prank could be especially dangerous if someone needed to get medical care and was unable to leave.
"It may seem like a benign prank, but c’mon … This is the time of year to spread holiday cheer — not the other thing," Star Police said.
