BOISE, Idaho — After experiencing the extreme heat in the Treasure Valley, Wine Down Nampa has postponed its event.
The event was originally scheduled to take place on July 10, but forecasts predict Wednesday will have record-breaking temperatures. Event organizers made the decision to postpone the event to August 14 to ensure the safety and well-being of participants, vendors and staff amid the expected high temperatures.
Wine Down Nampa is a monthly event held in the Nampa Civic Center Garden. Guests attending the event can drink local wine (obviously), enjoy a live band and meet new people. The free event is open to the public.
"We appreciate your understanding and support during this change, and we look forward to welcoming you to an even better Wine Down experience in August," event organizers with the Nampa Civic Center said.
The new date, August 14, also aligns with Cliff Miller's performance at the Nampa Civic Center. Cliff Miller is an Idaho native who has seen great success in the country music scene.
