BOISE -- The generation that endured the American Civil War was remembered on Saturday at the Old Idaho Penitentiary.
People who made it out to the event ran into historians dressed who were dressed in historically accurate uniforms. There was also a reproduction of a Union soldier's camp and demonstrations of the average soldier's life in the civil war.
The event focus is on President Lincoln's proclamation that established November as a time of Thanksgiving.
The event was put on by the Fort Boise Garrison Living History Association.
